Team building CTE Trailers 2024

At the end of September 2024, the CTE Trailers team had the opportunity to disconnect from daily activities and focus on what unites us as a team: common goals and the desire to evolve together. This team building was an excellent opportunity to strengthen the team’s cohesion, emphasizing the sharing of expectations arising from business needs, as well as the expectations generated from the desire for collaboration and continuous improvement.

The central theme of the event focused on increasing cohesion and facilitating an open dialogue between team members, giving them the opportunity to express their expectations both professionally and personally. In the first part of the event, we participated in a series of interactive activities designed to strengthen our mutual trust and encourage collaboration between departments. These exercises helped to create a sense of unity and laid the foundations for a better understanding of each member’s roles and responsibilities.

An essential session was the one of reflection and open discussions, in which everyone had the opportunity to share what needs they perceive as essential for the fulfillment of the objectives and what desires they have to feel fulfilled within the team. We have addressed the difference between what we need to perform at work and what we want for greater personal satisfaction. This distinction helped us to clarify individual motivations and find common points that support us in achieving strategic objectives.

The result of these discussions was a shared commitment to align individual expectations with team goals, thus creating a more harmonious and productive work environment. This included identifying synergies between departments , improving understanding of the challenges faced by colleagues at different stages of the process, and creating a framework that reduces frustration and increases the level of empathy and collaboration.

In the second part of the day, the CTE team accepted a unique challenge: the “FLUTE” team game. This involved team members working together to create a functional vehicle using limited resources. Each team was given a specific build theme, a fixed budget for purchasing materials, and two hours to collaborate and build the vehicle. At the end of the work period, all teams participated in a relay event.

In conclusion, this team building was a success not only by improving collaborative relationships, but also by clarifying the perceptions and expectations of different teams. We have managed to strengthen team cohesion, improve the way we collaborate and commit more firmly to achieving common goals in a healthy and constructive work environment.
