CTE Trailers was founded at the end of 2001. The following year expansion saw CTE Trailers obtain the exclusive right to sell products from Fahrzeugwerk Bernard Krone across Romania. As one of the European market leaders in the production of semi-trailers and trailers for the transport of general goods, this partnership led to further expansion.

The young team formed by shareholders Dana Manns, Adrian Anghelea and Mihai Dinu set up a sales office in Bucharest at the beginning of 2003, soon followed by the acquisition of a 2-hectare plot of land in Ciorogarla, Ilfov county. A parking lot, spare parts warehouse, service with 4 bays and sales offices opened there in 2007.

CTE Trailers continued to diversify its product range over the following period with the introduction of a wider portfolio of products sold on the Romain market, all market leading brands in their own business segment.

In 2010, CTE Trailers took over the distribution of Meiller products, and in 2011 the distribution of Faymonville products, and the Max Trailer brand which belongs to the Faymonville group, was added. Considering the accumulation of experience in the sale of commercial vehicles and adjacent services, the next step in the development of the company was to expand the portfolio of products with municipal vehicles. This led to the founding of the CTE Group in 2014, bringing together the know-how of partners with experience in the trade, and equipment for the communal and construction sector through the association of CTE Trailers and CTE Solution Utilaje Specializate, a company focused on selling communal vehicles, recycling equipment and construction machinery.

In 2016, CTE Rent joined the group bringing experience in the short, medium, and long term rental of specialized equipment. The CTE Group continued to grow with the establishment of CTE Trailers Bulgaria and CTE Solution Hungary in 2018, important milestones in the group’s development and internationalisation process.

Always guided by the desire to improve and to meet the requirements and needs of our customers and partners, CTE Trailers continued to show flexibility and further investment including the completion of a new 6 million Euros modern service facility, with a new spare parts warehouse and secure car park in 2020.

Today, 140 employees are part of the CTE group of companies, and the five companies together achieve a turnover of approx. 60 million Euros. What inspires and motivates us every day are our customers, for whom we try to constantly improve in order to provide them with the highest quality of service.
